Welcome to the Deer Park Schools Technology Committee.
The Deer Park School Board views the District Technology Committee as a representative advisory group with a districtwide vision for integrating technology into the curriculum. The Committee will have oversight responsibility for the implementation of Board decisions regarding technology issues and will report to the Board periodically.
The Committee should consist of the following members but not required:
1) The School Board representative (Chairperson of Technology Committee)
2) The Site Technology Coordinator (or an alternate if the STC is unable to attend a meeting)
3) The administrative liaison (Assistant Superintendent),
4) Community representatives with expertise in technology
Whenever a vote is deemed necessary by the committee, each member will have one vote. Alternates will vote only if the regular representative is absent.
The Committee will assist in determining the technology needs and priorities within a districtwide plan, raising and answering questions, exploring ideas and brainstorming solutions. The Technology Committee will be responsible for regularly updating the Superintendent administrator about Committee needs and activities, for bringing ideas from the Principal to the committee.

Meeting Schedule: Efforts will be made to schedule meetings at mutually convenient times for committee members.
